Retina Display on new Macbooks

Anyone worked with the new Macbook Pros that have retina display yet? I’m curious if CSS background images, and even regular images I guess, are looking pixelated like I often see on my iPhone.

I’d love to get one as my 5 year old MB Pro is starting to go on me but…I’m concerned that it’ll put me out of touch with the reality of regular user’s experience if I do. Any thoughts?

If you can afford it, go for it.

Otherwise, the display will be coming to smaller sizes soon enough, might just be good enough to wait.

Now that this is almost a year old, I’d be curious to know folks thought on springing for the Retina display?

There’s an actual site that I can’t recall that gives a list of devices and whether or not you should wait. Hope someone here can remember what I’m referring to.
