replace slide down effect with fade in fade out

This is the actual slide down effect for a div.
What I want is to replace the actual slide down effect with a fade in fade out and I don’t know what to change exactly in the code, I’ve tried to replace with the .fadeIn() function but is not working.

@Hompimpa Yeah, I think this is the answer for your question.
But also this script doesn’t work well for me, I mean the effect is visible but the div is not usable.
Check here the link to see that the search bar is not usable is only showed.

It works now, I had to remove an unnecessary container div
