    I would like my home page to show excerpts of the text from my posts without showing the images that are contained in the actual post. Here is my website…

    If you look at the top left post ‘A Journey’ you will see that in the excerpt of the text it is pulling an image from the post itself. Does anyone know how to eliminate this?

    Hi Scott,

    How are you pulling the excerpt from your post?

    I deleted the image from the HTML on the page in Google Chrome’s inspector and obviously that removed it from my screen.

    the_excerpt() does exactly what you want. It strips the html of tags and images and displays text only.
