Hello, I’d like some suggestions for excellent literature related to the creative industry and the processes that happen within.
I’m not searching for books to advance my technical abilities, but rather literature regarding successful design processes and how successful design agencies operate. Specifically, I’m looking for information on web-related creative processes.
The reason I ask is due to my very odd mix of skills. I’m a marketing/economics graduate, who has worked as a freelance designer/front-end dev (branding and web), became a general manager of a multi-million dollar operation (managing 50+ employees), and is now joining a creative agency. All that managing has me itching to learn the industry and its processes. Working with and managing creative people is totally different than the industry I cut my teeth in (high-end retail). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
