When I view this in a desktop browser and resize the window, no matter what size I make it, it remains readable; the column simply gets wider or narrower to fit perfectly in the window. Why is it that when I open the same exact thing in a mobile browser, it doesn’t shrink the column and keep the text readable, instead it shrinks the text? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
My guess would be because mobile devices have high resolution screens.
[It’s how mobile devices display desktop websites](http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/AppleApplications/Reference/SafariWebContent/UsingtheViewport/UsingtheViewport.html)
Frankly we don’t have enough information / code to see what it’s supposed to do on a mobile screen.
Is the appropriate meta viewport implemented etc?
Are there media queries and are they implemented correctly?
Etc., etc.
Thanks a lot, it was all because I didn’t have the meta viewport tags.
