Hello all!
I’ve wondered about this for a long time. What are the rules regarding font copyrights?
What I mean is, if I find a font that I can download for free on a website, what are the legal implications as far as putting it on a site, or putting it in print?
If I were to find a font for free for download on website "A", but the exact same font is $25.00 on website "B", what exactly does that mean?
For example, on http://www.dafont.com, you can filter fonts by public domain, free, free for personal use, pay, etc…
If I was creating a logo for a commercial company, would I have to make sure that I picked either a public domain font, or make sure that I payed for one?
I know this post has a lot of muddled questions, but I’m quite confused on the subject. Any help/explanations/answers would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
