    I want to convert psd file into html/css format. How do I know if I should use a grid?

    If the PSD is using a grid format then sure but it’s not essential.

    How do I know that it uses a grid(I mean when loading the file to Photoshop)?
    I think this is the question that I should ask in the first place…

    Check some of the horizontal measurements…are they multiple of a certain value?

    Why do you think you need a grid.

    I’m not saying you don’t but there are a lot of grid to chose from, some of which are responsive and some aren’t.

    If you think a grid would be helpful, just use one and see if it helps.
