    Hi there,

I would like to put my company name on one of my client’s websites, simply because, I think I can get more business from them.

Do you ask your clients if you can post your link on their site or do you just put it on there? If you do ask, how do you word it?

I appreciate any thoughts or feedback! Thank you.

    Definitely ask for permission.

I usually have it built into my contract. If a client wants to remove it, that’s fine, it’s just a small additional charge. I word it as a built-in discount to have my name on the product.

It sounds like you’re already past that stage, though. I’m sure if you simply ask nicely the client will be happy to let you do it so long as it’s small and in the footer.

    Hi TheDoc,

Okay, sure. I’ll ask for permission. Yes, we’re definitely past that stage. The site is almost done. Thank you!
