I am a pretty novice coder, and need some help with a very specific issue.

I want to figure out how to make it so that someone can click on a normal text word (“Subscribe”) and instead of it being a link to another page, a small box pops up where people can insert their email address and sign up for email updates of my blog.

Here is an example of exactly what I’m talking about: If you click “Subscribe” in the upper right-hand corner of his blog, you’ll see that a small box pops up where someone can subscribe to email updates.

I use MailChimp for my email updates. I don’t know if this helps, but here is the embed code that I would use if I were to just insert the signup form into a normal webpage:

Here is my practice blog, but this is pretty much what the real blog will look like when I launch it. I want to do the above with the “Subscribe” text that is to the left of every post.

Thank you for your help! If you need any other info, let me know.
