Popout Menu On Click?

I’m trying to design a theme for my forum and I want to do a user panel similar to the one below but I can’t seem to find anything to help me out when I search on Google. I want a simple link that when it’s clicked, a little box pops below where I can put my links to user controls.

It’s using jQuery which I see you have on the site. I also noticed that your prototype.js is causing an error that COULD be stopping any further scripts to be run. It’s very simple jQuery, so it shouldn’t be an issue. You probably have something conflicting with it.
