Hello guys! Is there an easy way to transfer patterns from a design in photoshop to html that doesn’t involve cropping?
I’m not sure I understand what you mean
yes. first select what you want to save in photoshop and click Edit > Copy Merged, then File > New, paste it in, and save.
Let’s take for example this pattern found here: http://www.brusheezy.com/patterns/6131-flowers-patterns-for-photoshop .
I was looking for an easy way to export this pattern in a small jpg file, and recreate it in html by repeating the background.
It really depends on the texture/pattern. Without actually downloading that pattern this is probably the route you will have to take: http://methodandcraft.com/videos/creating-tileable-textures
Usually patterns like that are easier to tile so it won’t be as difficult as tiling texture like in the video.
I want to download it, but when i use it in photoshop, i can’t figure out how to crop it and then save it as a jpg.
(Windows) Cntrl + T, hold Shift as you drag the corner. Save as .jpg
Is that what you’re talking about?
This screenshot should explain better: http://cl.ly/2i063e2b1f0j0a2x1304
I really appreciate how much you struggle to help me.
Whats the height and width of the pattern?
I don’t know! This is the hard part…
Sorry for responding this late, but it’s easter over here :D
Maybe this tutorial on how to make seemless backgrounds will help.
thank you!
This was what i was looking for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jzbjwAFUm8
