First I’d like to say that I personally do not believe in e-mail obfuscating. I trust in Gmails spam-filter.

However, I’m currently working for a client with no Gmail spam-filter so they actually do get spam in their inbox.

Are there any working Javascript methods that’ll search and find e-mail adresses on a webpage and obfuscate them in some way you’d recommend?

Well, if you’re doing this in Javascript any bot could simply not use JS and be able to see the original e-mail. Remember that everything JS has to be done client-side, it may be better to just do it server side with whatever implementation they’re using.
