Complete NEWB so go easy on me :)

Have a WP site with a Slider element that we would like to embed another widget on top – here is a screen shot of what we’d like to do – http://screencast.com/t/f2z4fD9ClT. Ultimately want it to be like this – http://screencast.com/t/iaYue6cyj

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nesting a widget in a widget

I think you mean a “Widget on top of a widget” not “in a widget”

It probably just a matter of absolutely positioning the search form but without code there’s not much we can do.

However, in general, as long as your slider and form widget have a common parent you could do something like this

Paulie – thanks that works perfectly “except” it’s no longer responsive. Is there a work-around to fix? here is the site URL PAHouseLik.com

[Edit] just thinking (hoping) this could be done via a Media Query?? And if so, what would that look like? (I know just enough to get into massive trouble)
