Need tutorial to build slider from scratch

Hello all!

I’m using the ‘diapo’ slider for a project and, unfortunately, the marketing gods want to make so many changes that it’s probably easier for me to build from scratch!

Things I need to change:
1) Want ANOTHER image…first to slide in black and white and then FADE to color
2) Caption will be in one block and fade in after the initial image slide
3) Image will ‘slide out’ BEHIND the caption block
4) Caption will then fade out as the next slide feeds in

Anybody know of an awesome step-by-step tutorial that will help me build this on my own?

Hi Len did you check the Sliders available on https://css-tricks.com/downloads/ on this page?. Your slider is some kind very specific so for that I don´t know a step by step. To save time I´m using wooslider and one time I use Slide Deck but my experience was not so good, but off course this will depend if you´re using wordpress or not.
