Need help with CSS grid system

Hi guys,

I’m new here so I apologise if I posted this in the wrong place.

I’ve just started learning to code using grids. Unfortunately, I’m a bit stuck with a project – please see the below layout I’m trying to code using the grids system.

Everything seems pretty straightforward apart from the top header. I have no idea how to make the blue header 100% width and then add the menu/nav on top of it.

I’d really appreciate your help and advice.
