need help styling commnet authors

  • # October 14, 2009 at 4:59 pm

    Hello all. Been at css-tricks a while but this is the first time I ever needed insight from this forum

    I have been working with my comment section for 2 days straight.

    I’m using a Thesis platform.

    Tried a lot of things with Firebug and learned a lot along way.

    However, I can not solve this problem for the life of me.

    I’m trying to make my current comment section here:

    and put the author name inside the comment box like a photoshopped here:

    I’m willing to try any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions at this point.

    My site with comments on it is and my PHP looks like this:

    /* Comment Functions */
    add_action(‘thesis_hook_before_headline’, ‘tt_comment_box’); // add new comments
    remove_action(‘thesis_hook_after_post’, ‘thesis_comments_link’); // Remove Thesis Comments

    /* be the first to comment */
    function my_comments_link() {
    echo ‘

    comments_number(__(‘Be the first to comment’, ‘thesis’), __(‘1 comment’, ‘thesis’), __(‘% comments’, ‘thesis’));
    echo ‘

    remove_action(‘thesis_hook_after_post’, ‘thesis_comments_link’);
    add_action(‘thesis_hook_after_post’, ‘my_comments_link’);

    This reply has been reported for inappropriate content.

    Put the background image redGrad.gif on the dt instead of the dd and give that a border on the top, right and left plus the topleft and topright border radius and then just remove the top border and topleft and topright border radius’s from the dd.
