    Hi guys,

    I’ve been trying to make a navigation with icons position similar to the nav here on CSS tricks. Can anyone go over the basic principle for me? My nav is sligtly different in that my background is under the link text. I’m struggling as at the moment it just looks a mess, i’ll continue to battle on with it but any help on this matter would be much appreciated. My html is:

    Unfortunately, you haven’t provided a link or your CSS.

    Make us a Fiddle or something in CodePen so we can test and play.
