Navigation idea: 'Show All'

Hello!
I know this thing is not new or anything, but I havent seen it being used that much…
I’m designing a site for a school.
What do you guys think about this Navigation method?
Check desktop and small screen, plz!

Basically it shows all first and second level items at once.A bit like a book index.

Please ONLY look at the top navigation, it’a sketch, the rest is nothing really.
Do you think it will work?

I like it, although I’d add emphasis to the corresponding menu column when hovered i.e. make the menu items the pink color you’ve used or something along those lines…

I have seen this before(can’t remember where), although it is pretty rare, and I do like it. It kinda cuts to the point, so I can jump between columns without seeing other slide up/down animations.
