Meta tags help

hi guys, i want to ask will meta tags hit my blog speed performance. I have at least 20 meta tags for SEO, open graph, twitter card, search engine validation, etc. Currently i have blazing speed.website, and i afraid to add more meta. i dislike slow website. Thanks

I can’t think they would…they’re not http requests (AFAIK) just basic text to be read by the search agents….

But it depends on what you mean by meta tags….perhaps you could share a link?

I use about 20 these days with support for OG & Twitter + the standard stuff. I think @Paulie_D is correct, as far as a browser is concerned it’s just going to see the stuff it needs to use for rendering and ignore everything else – they’re really good at that part.
