Hi folks,
I’ve been contemplating incorporating a Dynamic DNS service into my workflow, similar to the one described in this article: http://alexbachuk.com/develop-wordpress-locally-with-mamp-pro-and-dyndns/
I’m curious if anyone here does the same thing, or if anyone thinks there are some glaring security issues with this?
It’s been getting pretty old using plugins like All-In-One WP Migration to basically create images of my local WP site and import it to a staging server for clients to take a look at. And then have to export any changes they make to the staging site and import it into my local development site…
If they could just browse the site on my local machine and make any edits or content additions right there, that’d be so nice! However, what’s to stop someone other than the client from accessing it, though, and even potentially causing harm to my computer?
