Home › Forums › JavaScript › Making a javascript split the sorted results in multiple columns of same width?
I have 83 elements (five are shown in the javascript) I want to sort inside these a certain width and height, how can I do this, I’ve tried toying with CSS functions without any success. Should I just give manually sort them and then create additional html pages with the search results. Because in the end I just need to have 83 elements sorted alphabetically or by country.

I don’t understand what you mean by “sort inside these a certain width and height”? Are there more pieces of information inside each list that we aren’t seeing?
I see that code is from a jsFiddle, and when I copied it into a demo, it works as you’d expect. So please explain the problem you are having.
When I add more elements they just overflow underneath as normally (They create one big list), I’d like to distribute the results evenly under multiple columns (4-5). Hence the results would appear side by side here is an example: http://www.pagecolumn.com/4_col_generator.htm .
