    Wondering if [this](http://igdaloff.com/mission.jpg “Mission example”) effect is possible with CSS. I know you can arc entire letters, but curious if it’s possible to keep the top of the word flat while arcing just the bottom.

    With pure CSS….the short answer is “No”.

    The long answer is you can wrap each letter into a span (manually or with lettering.js), then target them with nth:child (or JS) and apply them specific styles.
