I’m looking to add a search icon to search a website that’s in development where the following happens:

The end user clicks on a magnifying glass icon (available in the nav at the top right similar tohttp://slongrad.com/wilford/theme/classic.html). This causes a search form to open in a responsive lightbox where the webpage is still visible behind it. When a term is entered and a search button (or another magnifying glass) is clicked, results appear in the same lightbox. When the result is clicked upon, the lightbox closes, the corresponding page is opened and the end user is taken to not just the page, but to the section/area on the page where the term appears (scroll animation would be cool) and the term is highlighted.

The pages on this website are long with many sections. If the end user is simply taken to the correct page, they might have quite a bit of scrolling/searching to find their search term.

Is this possible? Are you aware of a jquery plug-in (like http://www.tipue.com/search/) that performs in this way?

I’ve spent many hours looking for this and would be grateful for any assistance.

Thank you in advance for your help!
