    So this idea isn’t new, but the majority of the times I’ve seen this effect it is used for a menu, not for inline links. I was wondering if anyone could come up with a better way of achieving this effect. I’m hoping to find a semantic way that is easy to reused.     Not sure why, but I’m not a fan of this effect at all. Nicely done though!

    @joshuanhibbert I agree, I have never been a big fan of this effect, but there is something about the idea of spicing up text links with something besides a fade/color change that I really like. If anyone knows of any other great hover effects for inline text links please post.

    @sellenrick I guess you have to be a bit careful that you don’t go over the top, you still want links to be recognizable without confusing visitors.
