Do you mean you’d like the checkboxes to be aligned vertically on small screen sizes? If not, please try to be clearer on what is to be achieved.

Okay, sounds a bit tricky. The other way around would be a lot easier. And not using media queries complicates things. Only idea I can come up with myself is setting a max-width on li :
