    The more I learn, the more I’m starting to question whether I should build my own functionality. I don’t plan on being a full time developer, I plan on creating my own sites, transferring to wordpress and having someone manage the content.

    I currently own my own company and decided to learn web design because it would allow me to create my own site and fix things myself without having to pay someone. I also plan on opening other businesses and believe coding websites is essential to keep cost low when starting up. I’m also really keen on design and like it a certain way.

    Should I use jQuery plugins or code my own functionality?

    @Shikkediel thank you for the response. At the time of the post, I was slowly considering using plugins, but the more I look at “Top 10 Plugins” the more I find every single person had a different rank. Some plugins no longer exist which really solidified your answer.
