I’m working within a 12 column fluid grid, and i would like to somehow use these two background circle’s that will underlap the preceding elements. Does anyone know of a way to do this within a fluid grid? I can’t use an absolute background placement, as the y is dynamic depending on screen width. Any ideas on how to make this work?

will the border that big go behind the other elements? i’m not sure what is counted inline.

thank you! got it to work. the :relative part was what i was missing. I also didn’t know that border’s aren’t regarded as solid elements of a layout. this makes things much easier. thank you.
