Home › Forums › CSS › Is it possible to create a white, semi-transparent, glossy bubble in pure CSS?
Hi guys,
I’m trying to achieve the following look in pure css: http://cl.ly/image/2f3O2e3n2k0n
Is it possible to do with pure CSS? If it is, would you please point me in the right direction?
Looks simple enough.
What have you tried so far?
Frankly, I’m more of a back-end developer, but I’m forced to do this myself. I’ve tried this thing, but sadly, it’s nowhere near what I’m trying to achieve. I would be very grateful if you told me how you’d do it.
This seems to be the best I can come up with, based on your codepen:http://cdpn.io/fslcE
Here’s my effort: http://codepen.io/Paulie-D/pen/lEBzr
The top one is your image.
@Paulie_D Thank you so much! It’s amazing how much you could do with so little css :)
@Mark-Simulacrum Thanks for your effort, but it’s not exactly what I expect to achieve.
No problem, just remember that I have omitted all vendor prefixes.
@Paulie_D Thanks to you, I’ve finally achieved an almost identical style. Awesome!
Now I have to figure out a way to adapt it for IE8…
