    Hello everyone,

I am about to install wordpress on one of my domains, I’ve installed it on a domain in a folder before, but the domain I am about to install it on is my primary domain.

The way my hosting account has the files organized right now is like this:

    Root Directory.

Site A and all it’s .html .css and all other files not in any folder.

    Site B in a folder

    Site C in a folder

    etc.

What I am wondering is if when I install WP in my root directory and not in a folder, is if WP will try to overwrite all my other websites since it is getting installed in the root.

    Thanks.

No. You’ll be fine. As long as you have no redirect access from your root folder, you’ll be fine. Static HTML files, even PHP files will not be effected unless there is conflict with paths and file names.
