To be blunt simply don’t worry about having fancy rounded corners in IE8, a common practice that is catching on is to design your site so it works and supply it with fancy properties such as rounded corners for browsers that support it but leave browsers such as IE8 alone. You will end up spending a lot of wasted time and effort making it look the same while adding extra and unnecessary resources to the page which slow down performance quite significantly.
