Hey,
I’ve always relied on my own judgement, as for how a website should look, but a few days ago a community member of mine left a comment that made me think twice, and so I’ve been trying to gain as much feedback as possible, especially suggestions.
I’m looking for ways to improve the overall experience, and perhaps tips on some common design mistakes I’ve made, which I’ve got yet to learn about. I’ll appreciate and consider any advice, thank you!
I’m not sure really how to advise since it’s an off the shelf theme (http://demo.vanthemes.com/?theme=carino)? I mean if your design is off the shelf rather than geared towards the content and user base then it’s never going to be right.
Hey Andy,
yeah, I forgot to mention, I didn’t intend to skip the part where I’m using a ‘bought theme’. I’ve already made a lot of changes to it, but I do agree that it’s very limited as to what I can do.
In that very same spirit, I still think that I could use some advice for how to make the best of it, the changes I’ve made already are drastic and I’ve tried to put the emphasis on content as much as possible.
I’d still love some tips, as I’m not sure in the near future I’ll be purchasing a custom made theme.
Thank you,
Alex
