Can someone confirm whether the following error is something to do with my hosting, and not me?

Warning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver at “localhost” port 25, verify your “SMTP” and “smtp_port” setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in C:inetpubvhosts*****.comhttpdocsmobcontactengine.php on line 53
    error

I’m on IIS – NOT Linux. This wasn’t happening last week. What makes this so frustrating is I have spent hours and hours wondering why my forms weren’t working, thinking it was my code. Because my form was redirecting, I wasn’t seeing the error. So annoying.

It was working before though? I have no idea how it’s set up, surely you can have a contact form working on IIS?

You’re right, I have no control over how the SMTP is setup. AFAIK it’s only under the control of the host.
