So in our internal quest against wrapper div’s we discovered a pretty neat trick with using calc to set left/right padding to make it behave as it would with a wrapper div and max-width property.

The issue however is that this does not play nice with IE 10 and 11 (this actually works in IE 9) when you resize the browser window. And from what we have tested it seems to be an issue with box-sizing: border-box; along with calc() but there are barely any other threads about this bug (!?) on the web, or our googling skills are rapidly declining.

So I thought I would post on here to see if there are any smart CSS wizards that might have a solution for us :)

This actually fixes it! Thank you so very much.

Yes the issue was that in IE10/11 the calc() didn’t seem to render properly when resizing, and this fixes it :)
