Icon font conflict

Hi
I’m having a conflict of icon fonts.
There is a conflict between custom-icons.css and catco_icons/style.css. If I remove the link to custom-icons.css then catco_icons/style.css works fine, but I need both. The content numbers assigned to the icons in the CSS are unique. I don’t know what to try next. Any suggestions?

Curious…

Even curiouser…if I add a single quote in front of the font-family it seems to work

[class^="icon-"]:before, [class*=" icon-"]:before {
  font-family: 'custom-icons;
}
