HTML background image/splice size issue

Hello Forum,

I have a small problem, I have assigned a background image to my landing page, to repeat along the x-axis, a gradient to be exact. No problem there, looks great.

My next page is greater in length, which naturally makes my CSS applied background fall short. I have modified the image to the length it needs to be to “cover” the html on this specific web page. My question : How do I apply my html background “slices” to web pages that vary according to content / length?
