How was the css-tricks forum created? is there a plugin to mimic it

Hi , I really like the simple clean look of the css-tricks forum. If I wanted to add a forum section that looks like the css-tricks forum in terms of look, to my website. How would I do this? For example, I looked on codecanyon to search for plugins that might resemble a clean forum look like this one but I did not find any? How should I go about this?

I think it’s BBPress running it but the styling is entirely CSS…as you would expect so you won’t find anything specifically like it as entirely designed by @ChrisCoyier
