How to use style inside the anchor tag?

I am trying to create my signature for Thunderbird when sending emails. I’ve created a separate html file with the following inside it:

My Company Name<br />
Share Us On Your Social Media Of Choice!<br />
<a href="https://www.facebook.com/companyname" style="text-decoration:none;"><img src="http://www.companyname.com/images/facebook_like.png" /></a><br />

The problem is the default blue line won’t disappear from around the linked image. What am I doing wrong?

Try border:0; on the img element.
