    Hello, I am trying to figure out how to have an image (color box) with text spill onto the background of a blog. You can see a good example at this link http://www.designlovefest.com/ (the grey images with blog dates and left side heading titles). Also, http://www.ohjoy.com (beige images with titles on right columns spill onto background).

    Can this be done with CSS? Any info is much appreciated! -Michelle

    they’re floating elements with a relative positioning on them.If you use Chrome, open Chrome Dev tools and over these little headers,right-click and go:inspect element.It shows you the css properties of the elements. What surprised me though is that the designer used HTML font tags on the left side titles.I haven’t seen that in a while.
