    How is apple achieving the following effect (Scrolling from one section to another?):

    I noticed this one too. If you look to the right, there are little fiddly buttons that operate this thing. Thing is, I can’t tell if any scrolling is truly going on or if it’s contained within the window and you get the illusion you’re scrolling the window. It almost looks to me like the latter and the scripts are set up to listen for scrolling events along with maybe some key presses commonly associated with scrolling. Almost looks to me like a full-screen rotating banner flipped 90 degrees.

    There are jQuery plugins by the truckload that allow you to smooth scroll to anchor tags within a page. But this doesn’t appear to be one of those examples as far as I know.
