how can u set the animation in the css

Hi to all
i have a problem in my html. I create a box. when ever mouse is over the box a small image will come with in the box automatically.how can u create this one.could u please tell any one know about it.

How do you want the image to appear? Should it slide in, slide up, fade in or what.
