guys from wampserver haven’t replied to my thread there yet so I was hoping maybe any of you guys can help me out. I installed WAMP2 and I was following the steps how to run WordPress on it.
All is well until I try PhpMyAdmin. Gives me a 404 The requested URL /phpmyadmin/ was not found on this server.
However when I go to 127.0.0.1 I can see WordPress there.
Any ideas?
Just by chance, you’re not using any capitals in “phpmyadmin”, are you?
oh no. I click PhpMyAdmin from WAMP. Also, the icon is green.
Would you also know why in wampalias the phpmyadmin.conf is a folder?
What do you mean it’s a folder? Can you take a screenshot?
there you go my good sir
Very odd. Can you right click and open in a text editor?
That’s a negative. Installer issues perhaps?
Did you try going to http://localhost/ in your browser? My server window looks like this:
And the “phpmyadmin” link is under tools.
Clicking that will give you the same error my dear friend.
Have you tried reinstalling WAMP?
I would certainly reinstall.
Maybe try these more thorough instructions.
Mottie cool link bruh. Will try it after I install the 2.2a version.
A fresh install of the 2.2a version didn’t give me any trouble. I was able to set up a database fine and I’m able to use WordPress 3.0
Thank you ChristopherBurton(always so helpful) and the others! ;) This has been solved.
