Help me pimp my hover with css or jquery – just needs to work cross browser

I am working on a simple lotus and currently am using images for each petal and an alternate image for the hover.
See the Diet petal to see what I did.

This is very basic and I would much rather have a nice wobble effect on the hover meaning the image gets 10 – 15px larger with a little bounce/wobble when it gets bigger and then when it goes back to normal.
What would you recommend that you know works in all browsers.
