Help! hide an image in a mobile version only?

My current task for my company is to take an html e-mail and add in code to specific areas of the e-mail so that when viewed on a mobile phone, certain images don’t appear on mobile only. Is there anyone who can give me an insight on how I can do this?

Pretty sure media queries don’t work on emails but you’d have to do some more research on that.
