    Hi,

I am trying to design a layout for my big cartel website. I am not an expert web designer but I do know a thing or two.

The issue I am having is getting the header to extend past the current screen resolution. Please take a look at the images I attached to get a better understanding.

here is a link to the demo website:

I have tried EVERYTHING! and scoured the internet for all day trying to find a solution but nothing seems to work for me. I am just a beginner so maybe there is something I am missing in my css code that I didnt notice before.

I would like to add: my css is a bit inconsistant.. the way I coded it is the way I learned it :)

You can start by trying to fix your 35 errors.

, I am using chrome as well but when I shrink the screen or if the screen is a smaller resolution (like on an ipad/iphone) you notice it.
