MemberI’m confused…what is your site?
Do you even know how Alexa ranks sites?
Not all websites implement our on-site analytics and publish the results. For these sites, we show estimated metrics based on traffic patterns across the web as a whole. We identify these patterns by looking at the activity of millions of web users throughout the world, and using data normalization to correct for any biases.
The more traffic a site gets, the more data we have to calculate estimated metrics. Estimates are more reliable the closer a site is to being ranked #1. Global traffic ranks of 100,000+ are subject to large fluctuations and should be considered rough estimates.

Participant@PaulieD Yes, I know it’s not very accurate.. but how can this site visit my site and only have
<html> <head></head> <body> Descargar Musica Gratis </body> </html>
I understand my question was kinda confusing.
What I’m trying to get at is how can this site ‘visit’ mine and have a higher rank from an Alexa point of view?
Is there something going on behind the scenes here with the site.

MemberSince we don’t know what your site is we can’t comment.
Also we don’t know how Alexa actually calculates its rankings so, again, we can’t comment.
I interpret the ‘estimation’ statement above as “we don’t know so we’re going to guess based on criteria on the whole web which may have no relevance to the site in question”.
Basically, it has a higher rank because Alexa say it does but they don’t know why!
I’d get over it.

Why do you assume that “visiting your site” (and I’m not sure what you mean by that) has anything to do with this site’s ranking?

ParticipantIt showed up in my analytic as visiting my URL.
Ah — meaning, it was in someone’s

header? Keep in mind, that doesn’t mean “<this site> visited your URL,” it means “this visitor says they were at <this site> before visiting your URL.”If that other site linked to yours, and that’s how the visitor got to your site, it might affect page ranking (though it would affect yours more than theirs). But it doesn’t necessarily mean anything at all.
