Google Search Results Sections?

  • # February 5, 2010 at 5:19 pm

Does anyone know what to do to get your site broken down into sections when users find it via Google? I notice that when you find some sites via Google, CSS Tricks included, the Link to the site is provided but underneath is a list of "sections" that are a part of the site. You can see the result here:

Is there something you need to add to the code of your site, or is this some feature of a Google site tool like adsense ?

You need to be a member of Google Webmaster Tools. Once you setup your site, there is a menu on the left side. Under site configuration go to "Sitelinks".

Thanks, I poked around but Google offers so many search products I wasn’t able to lock down the terms needed to find the tool kit. I kept coming up with what to do if you wanted to add Google custom search to your site, but not how to modify the search results.
