Good jQuery book?

  • # April 21, 2008 at 11:57 pm

This site has me all jazzed up about jQuery so I want to order a book. It looks like there are two good ones:
    – Learning jQuery by Karl Swedberg and Jonathan Chaffer
    – jQuery in Action by Bear Bibeault, Yehuda Katz, and John Resig

Any opinion on which one is better?

Why order an book? there are zillions of articles on the internet and probly more up to date than a book. :!

    Hey Donna,

I just finished reading Learning jQuery by Karl Swedberg and Jonathan Chaffer. I really really liked it and it has me full up of good ideas I want to try out. I’m also all jazzed up learning about jQuery, so I’ll probably buy the other one too soon here, but I can’t vouch for it just yet.

Let me know which one you get and we can compare notes!

Thanks Chris. I will go ahead and order the Learning JQuery book today.

I want to say that I think your site is fantastic. I was a software developer at HP for MANY years but I am still learning when it comes to web design and development and your articles have been a great help to me. I look forward to seeing what you post each day. I also think your video tutorials are excellent. Thanks so much!!

    – Donna
