may be this is not right place to discuss about it but if someone know how to set transparency of gif animated object as like png. I make an animated gif image in photoshop but when i exported i see some glitter white border around gif image, i know the trick to remove it by using background color as same as the background color of our document we are going to use, but in my case background is changing, any help?
It’s not possible, png uses 8-bit transparency but gif only 1-bit, either fully transparent or fully opaque.
I’d experiment with a CSS keyframe animation and do it with a png… Then have a static png as a fallback for older browsers.
Good little guide on keyframe animation here – http://minimalmonkey.com/fun-animations-with-css3/
To me it sounds like you need to set the transparent bit of your image in the editor. I’m not sure what program you are using, but most allow you to pick a color bit to make transparent when you save the gif.
If you are setting the bit, then your image probably needs to be cleaned up, a lot.
What image editor are you using? Have you tried something like [GIF Animator](http://ulead-gif-animator.en.softonic.com/)?
@mottie:I am using photoshop and yes CrocoDillon it seems like not possible from here. thanks you guys for help. atlast i have to use matte in photoshop so that i can set background color
