    Hi,

We are planning a photoshoot and would like to use some of the photos as full screen background on our website. This means that we want the entire picture to be shown on screen (so no cropping). Our website developers said that the pictures must have a 3:2 pixel ratio to achieve that. I very much doubt that, because I think that this ratio includes menu, title and scrollbar. So the lower part of the picture will not be shown on 3:2 monitor screens. Am I right or can it be solved by coding (CSS/Javascript)?

    Thanks in advance.

There will always be something cut off because everybody’s monitor is a different resolution. Your developer has made a good suggestion, it definitely should be in landscape format (wider than taller), but that’s about all you can do.
