CSS-Tricks is brought to you in part by Media Temple, the web hosting that we both use and recommend.
I am working on [this website](http://communicatingisimportant.com “”) for a client, the design is _exactly_ as he wants it.
I have used a background image slider and it works fine in Chrome/FF/IE9 but when it comes to IE8 something weird happens.
If you open the page as normal the images in the background transition as normal.
However you’ll find in IE8 if you click another page, such as the About page, the images flicker really quickly, like they’re loading all over again.
Is this just because I’m using the image slider on every page and it has to reset itself back to the first picture? If that’s the case, why don’t I see this on other browsers?
Any advice would be appreciated guys.
I think this is the problem of Doctype.
Please check once again with another doctype.
